Swedish Massage
Sometimes you just want to escape the pressures of the day. Swedish massage is commonly referred to as a relaxation massage. The long, fluid massage strokes promote increased blood flow allowing oxygenated blood to reach and nourish surrounding cells and tissues.
The methodical cadence of this stroke sends signals to your brain allowing muscular tension to release. Often we use this technique alone for the entire session, or as a precursor/warm-up before receiving Deep Tissue or Sports massage techniques. Pressure can vary from light to firm depending on your comfort level. Some have experienced a meditative state when this technique is applied.
